Kaharoa Holdings was set up at Kaharoa near Rotorua in New Zealand in 2003 by trained knitting technician David Carman. David has 24 years experience in the New Zealand knitwear industry and prior to shifting his knitting machinery to Kaharoa David's contract knitting business traded as David Carman Knitwear in Manukau since 1991.
Using our modern electronic knitting machines we can make samples, trims, panels. Our machinery includes Shima Seiki SEC 8, 10, 12 gauge machines, and Stoll CMS 5 gauge, as well as strapping machines and other trim knitting machines.
We can courier or freight your knitted pieces to your CMT or makeup service enabling a complete knitwear manufacturing process.
Our customer base includes fashion labels, new designers and other New Zealand knitwear manufacturers – view examples of our knitting here. We can knit merino, wool, possum blend, cotton and other fancy yarns – our customers usually provide their own yarn.
